Poker / Teen Patti Event

Snaps!

Summary of the Event:

Dear all

The New York chapter of the IIT Delhi Excellence Foundation organized a Poker fund-raiser on May 20 2007.  The objective was to raise funds for the local chapter to facilitate organization of future events, in the course of a fun networking event.  More than 20 alumni participated in the 3-hour event, which was organized at an Irish pub-cum-restaurant.  We raised a total of $528 from the alumni, of which $225 was given away as prizes to the winners, and another $290 was used to pay for the venue.  We netted out slightly positive overall from the event.

While the net amount we raised did not meet our initial expectations, the event turned out to be very enjoyable.  Several folks attended an event for the first time and connected with fellow alumni.  We hope we'll get to see more of them in future events.  Pictures for this event are available at http://picasaweb.google.com/iitdinny/Poker

Our next event is a picnic in Central Park on June 17.  Please join us for what promises to be a fun-filled, family event

Best Regards
